MINIMALIST AND FUNCTIONAL OFFICE OF ARCHITECT BUREAU
Metric area: 80 m²
Number of employees: 7
Architect bureau Archido moved in a new office in 2007. Back then its newly-created interior represented a kind of gallery office — the space, in which accents are placed on pieces of art and history of design. The creative zone featured furniture items by such acknowledged masters as Eileen Gray, Antonio Citterio, Verner Panton, Arne Jacobsen.
In 2013 the interior concept suffered a change: the office space was divided into 2 zones — one for conferences and meetings, and the other for brainstorms and daily work. Walls were painted white, and accordingly matching furniture items were picked up. Layout changes were meant for people, rather than things. Now each employee has got a chance to organize and shape his or her workplace in a personal convenient way: the entire furniture is easily transformed and shifted. To crown it all the office acquired a great library devoted to architecture, eco-design and urbanism.
Architectural awards and fruits of the team’s mutual work are engraved into the new interior version. Thus, corridor walls display sketches from Wooden Fish project, offices are decorated by models from Skolkovo competition, as well as drawings and posters with printing type specially worked out for Archido corporate style.
