Alexandra moved into her studio a year and a half ago. It had been a porter’s lodge and then an office before.

The hostess tried to make a small space as comfortable and functional as possible. The relayout of the apartment was made in course of the repair: the corridor and the kitchen which had been just at the entrance were combined with the room. The bathroom area was significantly reduced; a small shower room was made.

The hostess often receives guests, so the space on a window sill was arranged to seat them all. A place for pillows was made under the table in the living-room, they are scattered on the floor when necessary. 12 people can stay in a small apartment at one time.

The chest of drawers was made to order from Alexandra’s scratches. The front face design can be changed depending on the hostess’ mood. She painted records on the chest of drawers by herself.
