Andrew, Anastasia and their two kids moved in a newly-built apartment after 6 months of renovation. The owners had a clear view of what their future lodging must be and how to visualize their ideas.
Fortunately, the original layout was quite good and the only thing missing was a spot, where Andrew could practice music. As a compromise his drums were arranged on the balcony.
A fireplace in the living room was initially planned as the centre of the entire interior composition. Initially a home bar was projected to be next to it, but in the midst of renovation the idea was abandoned for the sake of openness. A massive table was balanced by light transparent chairs. And to make the bedroom more homey and cozy the bedhead zone was decorated with carpeting.
White flooring proved to be quite unpractical: as well as a black one it brings each speck of dust into sight and needs regular care. But the interior looks much lighter with it.
In the kid’s room the parents tried a few variants of furnishing. In the end a game zone was arranged by the window, and beds were put far from sources of light. Having spent weeks to select the wallpaper, the owners eventually ordered a wall painting from a professional artist.
